Lettuce Update

It's been a week since we transplanted the lettuce. They are noticeably bigger. We hope they continue to grow well.

Our grafted tomatoes have really grown since being transplanted. We hope they will be fine with next week's cooler weather.

The fields are being watered by the overhead watering system.

Pesticide application

We had to apply organic pesticide to our green beans due to some pest damage.

Strawberries

Today we planted three strawberry plants at the end of our sunflower row.

Compost and Fertiliser


We applied fertiliser and compost to all of our vegetables.

Tomatoes

More tomato transplants were added to the garden. These were grafted using the tongue approach. 

Peppers

A row of peppers was transplanted at the end of last week. They seem to be doing well.

Several carrot transplants were planted in our garden. We hope they do well!

Green Beans (10/4/17)

Our green beans are a darker green color now.

Our seedlings are looking great. Our sunflowers are ready to be transplanted soon. 

Weeding and This Week

Davis and LJ are pulling out weeds. 

This week we are focusing on favorable greenery in the garden. This means taking the weeds out, monitoring our green beans, and putting new plants in (grafted tomatoes).
